Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is a small evergreen herb that grows in India, the Middle East, and Africa that has been used for over 3,000 years as part of the Ayurvedic tradition for its natural healing properties, namely to help relieve stress, increase energy levels, and improve concentration. It’s classified as an adaptogen, meaning that it can help your body adapt to or resist what’s going on around you and manage stress. Ashwagandha contains many natural chemical constituents that have been scientifically proven to help calm the brain, reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, and support the immune system. It is a significant aid in helping to reduce cortisol levels.

There is also substantial evidence that ashwagandha has a significant impact on improving sleep. Melatonin is what most people think of when it comes to sleep aids, but combined with ashwagandha you have a power team giving you the best chance at a deep, restorative sleep.

We use KSM-66 Ashwagandha^® – the highest concentration full-spectrum root-extract available today. There are two kinds of KSM-66 Ashwagandha: a milk pre-treatment form and a milk-free, vegan version where the milk-pretreatment is skipped. This vegan version is what we use.
